Red By Kine Fall

Sitting
Gazing out at the life she once lived.
Experience.
Its past and all that’s left is the time she is now in.

Here
This moment, wondering.

Those existential questions she is pondering.
Wearing her red Mary Jane flats,
itchy hipster hat.
What in the world made her think of that?

Why would she care about extraterrestrial maps?

“Its probably fake anyway.”
No belief left in her programmed mind
When she’d run to far it was a smack in the behind.
Now her path is barred.

Why so shy?
Every question, left hovering in the air

Struggles are just sideline huddles away from easy.
Once the victim and judge are gone.
She sat up straighter.
Once the victim and judge are gone.
Once the ego is lost.
The identity she identified with once before…

Gone.
