We are breaking borders a page curated by fellow West Coast Star seeds Nick Neumann, Walker Dawson and Chris Moreno has captured another side of a focal point in today’s media, The World Cup Games In Brazil. While we are bombarded with Television Ad’s, Corporate promos and the incessant google homepage cartoons, people on the streets of Brazil are being unfairly gassed, beaten, bombed and imprisoned.
Back in June of 2013, Brazil came to a standstill as the largest protests in decades swept the country, with citizens expressing anger at the increasing cost of living and the governments decision to spend billions on FIFA stadiums while ignoring the basic needs of lower and middle class citizens. While these protests are largely over, there still exists a small minority who continue to express themselves, yet while the number of protesters are getting smaller, the response from the military police is becoming increasingly more violent.
While watching this video it occurred to me that we have Brazilian followers on this site. It is important that everyone can understand the voices of the people in this video and the message they are sharing. For this is the platform where we can spread awareness, and through the collective consciousness the truth will open the hearts of our fellow man.
If those of you in Brazil feel compelled to help us out, please send us the translation of both the older man speaking at 3:35 in the video and also the young man speaking to the group at 8:16.
If you can translate these two parts please send the translation to Contact@collectivus.org . Your help would be greatly appreciated!
