The Prado Museum has had the pleasure of holding the most glorious of Bosch’s works “The Garden of Earthy Delights” and recently they agreed to allow it to be photographed and catalogued into hi-res images for the 500th anniversary of his passing.
The Noordbrabants Museum in the Netherlands is currently exhibiting 20 paintings and 19 drawings by the “Devil’s Painter.”
Thanks to all the photographers, filmmakers, and art historians who put this together. Now we can take time to truly marvel and decode the intricate details for ourselves. Its almost like looking through a “Where’s Waldo” book but so extraordinary and extra terrestrial are the creatures and inventions channeled by Bosch’s hand. Even if you were to see this in the Prado yourself, you could not have the time and relaxation to really take yourself into the painting.
Being mystics ourselves here at Collectivus, we encourage you to meditate on this painting and see yourself in the garden so that you may meet the creatures, feel the rays of light and the lush green, and dwell in a place that is not so far off. A dimension that Jheronimus has opened up for us to dig deep, and return to the truth within.
